The following are advertisements that I find very creative.Altoids First Time Ad
The Altoids First Time Advertisement is very humorous, because most people have experienced an awkward moment with someone that they like or have a crush on. This ad does a good job of advertising their product, a breath mint, in a very fitting situation, a first kiss. Although all consumers of this product probably are not going to use it when they are giving or receiving their first kiss, this concept adds a light hearted humor to the ad and appeals to many audiences.
Nike Courage Commercial
The Nike Courage Commercial does a great job of reminding viewers of the brand, since Nike is already very established. I believe that the ad is artful in the way that it is a large collection of images portraying different definitions of “courage.” The song playing in the background, “All These Things That I’ve Done,” by the Killers really adds a great dynamic to the powerful meaning of the ad.
Budweiser Hank the Clydesdale
The Budweiser Advertisement, Hank the Clydesdale, does a great job of catching the viewer’s attention. I really liked how the horse, Hank, trains with the Dalmatian. This seems to be a spoof off of the Rocky movie when Rocky is training to fight. I especially like the ending where the dog and horse high five. I feel that this aspect makes the advertisement appeal to a much broader audience, and makes the ad make a lot of sense even if the viewer has not seen the Rocky movies.
SoBe Lifewater Thrillicious
The SoBe Lifewater Thrillicious Advertisement is very creative and quite humorous. I believe that this ad has very wide appeal, because most everyone knows the song “Thriller” by Michael Jackson. Seeing the lizards dance, in quire a human-like manner almost makes the viewer want to get up and dance with them. The ad also incorporates humor when the one lizard flashes a smile and he has a grill in his mouth. This ad is very memorable and makes on want to get up and move… then refresh with SoBe Lifewater.
Mac vs. PC: Windows Vista
The Mac vs. PC: Windows Vista Advertisement is very humorous. It is very likely that most people have used a PC either at work or school and have been annoyed by the constant pop-ups. Although I don’t believe to have used Windows Vista before, I still have had this problem when using a PC. This ad does a great job of persuading the viewer that Mac computers are better while being humorous and telling the truth.
